Department of Cosmetology Mission
As Cosmetology Program, our mission is to provide our students with a strong academic background in cosmetic sciences and to enable them to take part in the sector successfully and ethically. In this direction;
1. We aim to provide our students with a comprehensive education in cosmetology. We aim to provide in-depth knowledge on topics such as the formulation of cosmetic products, application techniques, trends in the beauty industry and marketing strategies, along with basic knowledge from disciplines such as biology, chemistry and dermatology.
2. By supporting our students with practical experiences, we aim to enable them to gain real-world skills through practices such as collaborations with industry. In this way, our graduates can quickly adapt to the industry and work effectively.
3. We attach great importance to ethical values and sustainability principles. We aim to educate our students as individuals who are sensitive to the environment, respectful to human health and socially responsible. We encourage ethical and sustainable practices at every stage from the production to the consumption of cosmetic products.
4. We attach importance to developing our students' communication skills and leadership potential. By supporting teamwork, problem solving and analytical thinking skills, we aim for our graduates to be successful in leadership roles in the industry.
5. We encourage our graduates to continuously update themselves by following the developments in the sector. By encouraging scientific research, we offer postgraduate education and research opportunities to enable them to make innovative contributions to the sector.

Program Purpose
The Cosmetology Program aims to provide students with a comprehensive cosmetic science education and to train cosmetology specialists with innovative and ethical values in accordance with the needs of the sector. In this direction, our main objectives are listed below.

To Provide Students with In-Depth Knowledge in The Field of Cosmetic Science: Our program provides students with a solid foundation in cosmetic chemistry, skin physiology, formulation and analysis of cosmetic products. In this way, students can specialize in their fields by learning current knowledge and techniques in the industry.
2. Gaining Practical Skills: In collaboration with our industry partners, we enable our students to acquire skills in the practical production, testing and evaluation of cosmetic products. In this way, our graduates can quickly adapt to real-world applications.
3. Developing Communication and Leadership Skills: Our program allows students to develop effective communication, teamwork and leadership skills. These skills support our graduates to succeed in the industry and rise to leadership positions.

1. Basic Principles of Cosmetic Science: Students will acquire basic knowledge in areas such as basic concepts of cosmetology, cosmetic chemistry, dermatology, skin physiology and formulation of cosmetic products.
2. Formulation and Analysis of Cosmetic Products: Students gain practical knowledge and experience in formulating, manufacturing and analyzing cosmetic products by understanding the formulation process of cosmetic products.
3. Sectoral Industry Collaborations: Students have the opportunity to interact with professionals in the cosmetics industry and gain practical experience in the industry.

3. Skin Care and Aesthetic Centers: They can work as skin care specialists, estheticians or cosmetologists in spas, beauty salons and aesthetic centers. In these areas, they can offer services such as skin care, massage, body care and beauty treatments to customers.
4. Dermocosmetic Companies: They can be employed in areas such as selling dermocosmetic products, promoting products in cooperation with dermatologists or working in dermatologist offices.
5. Medical Aesthetics: They can work in plastic surgery clinics, medical aesthetic centers or dermatology clinics on medical aesthetic applications. For example, they can perform procedures such as laser hair removal, skin resurfacing procedures or botox.

The Cosmetology Program, which is carried out through an Internet-based Learning Management System (LMS), offers students the opportunity to learn using the distance education model.This allowed the students to attend classes and complete the program online. 1. Online Course Material: The course material of the program is accessible on the LMS platform. From there, students can access lecture notes, slides, videos, reading materials, and other resources.
2. Video Lectures: Teaching is supported by video lecture recordings. Students can watch these videos online and have the opportunity to understand the course content.
