Course Levels, Duration, Purpose, and Outcomes
A1 Level (1st Semester)
• Duration: 4 hours/week
• Purpose: To introduce students to basic German language skills.
• Outcomes:
• Conducting simple conversations and providing personal information.
• Understanding numbers, time, and date.
• Comprehending simple texts and writing short notes.
• Basic grammar including verbs in present tense, articles, personal pronouns, questions, word order, negation, and prepositions.
A2 Level (1st Semester)
• Duration: 4 hours/week
• Purpose: To expand basic language skills and introduce more complex topics.
• Outcomes:
• Conducting dialogues on everyday topics like travel and transportation.
• Understanding everyday texts and writing short emails and postcards.
• Introduction to past tense and more complex grammar structures.
B1 Level (2nd Semester)

B2 Level (2nd Semester)

C1 Level (3rd Semester)

• Purpose: To achieve advanced proficiency in German for academic and professional contexts.

• Understanding demanding, specialized texts.
• Writing detailed texts and essays.
• Advanced grammar including subjunctive wishes, passive in all tenses, conditional clauses, adverbs, and participles.
C2 Level (3rd Semester)
