Mission of the Department of Clinical Psychology
The mission of the Department of Clinical Psychology is to provide a comprehensive education and research environment to protect, develop and improve the mental health of individuals and to train qualified clinical psychologists to contribute to society. In this direction, the following objectives are adopted:
1) Quality Education: To support students' professional development by providing them with strong theoretical foundations and practical skills in clinical psychology.
2) Scientific Research and Innovation: To increase knowledge in the field of clinical psychology and support innovative approaches by encouraging students to conduct scientific research.
3) Development of Professional Competences: To enable students to gain competence in working with various psychopathological conditions by improving their clinical assessment, diagnosis, counselling and therapy skills.
4) Client-Centred Services: To support individuals' mental health and improve their quality of life by providing personalised and effective psychological services that are sensitive to the needs of individuals.

Aim of the Department
The aim of the Department of Clinical Psychology is to train specialised specialists in the field of mental health who integrate professional practice skills and theoretical knowledge in the field of psychology, adhere to ethical values, focus on service to society. In this direction, we adopt the following goals:
1) Comprehensive Theoretical Knowledge: To teach students the basic concepts, theories and research findings of clinical psychology and to build a strong theoretical foundation for clinical practice.
2) Development of Field Skills: To provide students with professional skills related to the field such as individual and group therapy, psychodynamic assessment, cognitive behavioural therapy.
3) Scientific Based Practice: To develop skills in psychological assessment, diagnosis and support with scientific methods based on current research findings.
4) Ethical Values and Professional Responsibility: To enable students to understand psychological ethics and professional responsibilities and to encourage them to integrate ethical principles into clinical practice.
5) Development of Research Skills: To provide students with the skills to design, conduct, analyse data and present results effectively in clinical psychology research. To develop students' ability to conduct research in the field of clinical psychology and to apply scientific methods effectively.

Corporate Psychologist: They can work as corporate psychologists in human resources departments in companies or in consultancy firms. They provide services on issues such as personnel selection and evaluation, stress management at work, leadership development.

The courses in the department are conducted through an internet-based Learning Management System (LMS), offering students the opportunity to learn using the distance education model.
